We are honoured to have works by Nic Fiddian-Green, leading UK contemporary sculptor, exhibited here at Reschio. Nic’s work is internationally acclaimed and collected by many private and public collectors throughout the world. He has been inspired by horses for 30 years and has spent much time over the last 8 years working on the equine form here at the Reschio stables. His response to the horse is captured in its form, however, this creates in us, the viewer, a deeply moving sense of peace, serenity and stillness.

These works are the first carvings by Nic Fiddian-Green in Carrara Marble, finished in his studio on the hills at Reschio and in the workshops of Pietrasanta. The sculptures are the beginning of an exhibition being created and curated in collaboration with Count Benedikt Bolza and Nic planned for Reschio in 2021. “My father first came across Nic unloading his work in preparation for an exhibition in London’s Jermyn Street in 2011,” said Benedikt, “since then, we have forged a close family friendship. Nic’s monumental sculptures are prominently displayed over the estate and they really capture the spirit of Reschio’s landscape.”
