We Love Our Reschio Players

We love our Reschio theatre for enabling a scholarship to be awarded to an outstanding soprano embarking upon her career. Thank you to those who so generously donated and bought tickets to attend the three nights of The Special Guest. €71,000 was raised for the Fondazione Mascarade and last month, 24-year old Priya Pariyachart was named as the Reschio Artist 2024-2025. Priya comes from the central Thai province of Phitsanulok where she was talent spotted by a music teacher while singing beautiful traditional Thai Folk songs. She went on to receive accolades from international music competitions before joining Mascarade’s Emerging Artists programme this year.

The Reschio theatre achieves many things on so many levels:
- The freedom for 40 young people to gather in the Bolza’s family home for a fortnight and unleash their creativity - write a play, adapt music; choreograph dance routines; make costumes, paint scenery and rehearse together for a fortnight. To learn to work as a team, with each individual recognising their strengths from preparing the food to starring on stage in principal roles
- The joy of putting on a show for three nights – entertaining over 330 guests of the Reschio Hotel, the Reschio houses and friends from neighbouring hills
- An opportunity to raise funds to help someone embark upon their performing career

We love having fun and especially love that so many others benefit too.
