We Love the Experience of Tasting EVOOs
Become a connoisseur of olive oil, experience the distinctive zing on the palate and understand how the freshly pressed vivid green liquid and the strong peppery taste both mellow with time. Learn about the depth of taste and the differing characteristics while sampling a selection of the best Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oils (EVOOs) from Liguria to Sicily, including our very own organic Reschio blend.
A tablespoon or two of EVOO is poured into an opaque blue stemless glass for a blind tasting. The glass, cupped in the hands becomes slightly warmed, when swirled it gently releases aromas. Inhaling the various oils gives a hint to the specific characteristics of each. A selection of very different tastes are presented: fish, meat, vegetables & dessert. Each EVOO meets its match and together they bring out the optimum and subtle flavours of the ingredients without the oil dominating. It is a fascinating pairing of food to enhance the natural taste of wholesome ingredients.
